Laura Garland

Laura started her artistic career in her twenties when she moved to Wellington, New Zealand from the United Kingdom. She completed a Visual Communication Diploma in Design at Wellington Polytechnic, where she developed her illustrative style with attention to colour and detail.

Having lived in Nelson with her growing family, Laura has returned to Wellington and continues to paint what appeals to her the most: rich, colourful scenes of New Zealand life using mainly watercolour as her medium.
